STREET LIGHTS,STREET PEOPLE

As the night sky reign over some part of the earth
the light from the moon shines over the pains of the people lying along the dark sidewalks of the streets
where street lights are lighting up their hungry faces.
Under the bridge, above the filthy river there's a condominium for the poor known as shanties.
Deadly smell doesn't matter.
Harmful pests are their friends.
Their green grasses are the garbage scattered around the place.
Children's health are at stake,
Some parents have nothing but faith.
Sleeping on the sidewalks are young and old folks.
You'll see some babies lullaby by the noise of horns.
No shelter, no food,
children can't go to school.
Some make crimes just to feed their empty stomachs.
All day long they are begging for alms.
Kids have to work hard just to survive.
People look at them with pity and maybe thinking what a terrible life they have.

As I walk along the busy streets I can see some kids playing ,
chasing real cars, running across the streets as if it's their playground.

Then I've seen some rich kids playing around in  high rise residences,
boys riding on their toy cars, girls dressing their barbie dolls.

When heavy rain pours, poor kids swim on the flood.
Diving on it as if  it's an ocean.
While rich kids playing in the swimming pool,
with towels ready by their nannies as they started to feel  cold.

They said both poor and rich  man should have equal rights,
but growing up I've never seen that.
As I grow up the more I  clearly see the big gap between the two.

I admire those who have more and sincerely give those who have less
and treat them  with sincere kindness.
But what a pain to hear rich folks insulting the less fortunate.
Poor can't be accommodated properly in hospitals because they don't have enough money.
Poor kids working so hard at a very young age
already serving as the bread winner of the family.
While some rich kids still keep on complaining on the things that they have.

Some rich folks complaining so hard when goods increase prices.
If it's a burden for them, how much more for those who can't even afford the cheapest one?
I'm praying that our selfish hearts learn to reach out our hands.
That we may give with joy and not with selfish desires.
Doesn't matter how big or little we give because what will be measured by the Creator is the greatness of our hearts.
Doesn't matter if you're pockets are empty as long as you heart is wealthy.
