MAKE OUR DESIRES YOUR OWN

Have you ever cry yourself to sleep

everyday and every night?
Have you ever feel so all alone?
Though you have friends they seem all gone.
Your family is there but you choose to keep the pains inside.
Your heart now becomes so weary,
feels like you're going crazy.

You call the Father above.
You tell Him what you're feeling inside.
You open the Holy Bible.,
You reflect on His words.
Light shines on your heart,
you realize your burden becomes light.
You give Him thanks,
so for you everything is all fine now.
You go to church,try to be good and kind.
You go out of town and out of the country for a mission.
You preach in front of the crowd,
you can't stop telling others how happy you are with your life now.

But one night after a trip,
you lay on your bed and stare at the sky.
All you can see is a half moon,no stars can be found.
Suddenly you ask yourself,deep inside you still  feel empty.
You thought you surrender your dreams
but you get jealous when others were able to reach theirs.
You secretly hope you have the same fame,wish you have famous friends like them.

You ask God,why after all that you have done-
you're following what He wants,
you do what other believers do
but why there is still missing in your life?
Now you see yourself trapped in a Christian game
You're now on the point of spiritual struggles.

Following Him means total surrender
that once we decided to take up the cross
our own desires are changed to His desires.
We no longer look back on the lists of our plans
but to the lists that He have prepared for us.
And our life is now a living sacrifice for Him.
